Pueblo of Isleta

Isleta, or "little island" in Spanish, is the largest of the Rio Grande pueblos. Many Isletans moved to El Paso with the Spanish during the 1680 Revolt; others resettled the pueblo around 1710. Parts of the mission, San Agustin de la Isleta, date from about 1613.

Isleta Pueblo was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on September 05, 1975.
