It is one of the finest surviving examples of Bishop Lamy's French-inspired gothic architecture in New Mexico. Among its adornments is a painting of Nuestra Sénora de Los Angeles (Our Lady of the Angels), given to the nearby Pueblo of Pecos by the King of Spain in the early eighteenth century. San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on September 13, 1978.
