  Old Paunchinello, freshly wed,
      Took Madam P. to table,
  And there deliriously fed
      As fast as he was able.

  'I dote upon good grub,' he cried,
      Intent upon its throatage.
  'Ah, yes,' said the neglected bride,
      'You're in your table d'hotage.'
