The Kreische Home in La Grange, Texas, within the state historical site along with Monument Hill. The Kreische Home was built by a German immigrant, Henry Kreische, who was a stonemason and one of the first beer brewers in Texas. The Kreische Brewery, where Bluff Beer was brewed, was located just down the hill from this farm house, and was constructed across a stream to take advantage of the fresh streamwater in the beer brewing process.
