This is one of the finest rainbow trout waters in New Mexico. It is privately owned and a permit is required to fish. Water impounded in Eagle Nest Lake provides irrigation for a farming area 50 miles east of this point. The reservoir has a capacity of 78,000 acre feet and the altitude is 8,218 feet.
