Organized in 1834. Present building constructed circa 1846 by James L. Duck . Property acquired from estate of Peter B. Cook by trustees of the Constitutional Presbyterian Church and the Methodist Episcopal Church South in the Town of Cooksville. In 1876 the Presbyterian congregation dissolved, leaving the Methodists sole owners.
