The Shed Road, completed in 1880 by Judge John Watkins of Minden, LA, was old Louisiana's most unique road. The shed covering the road was continuous for nine miles from Red River in Bossier Parish to Red Chute. It was abandoned after the coming of the first railroad fifteen years later.
